Back again, with some Danish youth power. The name is Rasmus Liebst, almost 18 years old, and with a flair for dubby ambient electronica. I asked him to write some history/facts about his musical background, and he wrote almost a novel to me. Not bad. Rasmus Liebst started playing saxophone in an early age, thou it didn’t really attracted him, but every man have to get his needs fulfilled. And because all other instruments at music-school where taken, Rasmus had to take the one instrument available to end his needs for music. But unfortunately the saxophone didn’t do the job, as hoped for him. Next up was the guitar and it really did the job, with inspirations like The White Stripes, Kashmir, The Smiths and Radiohead, Rasmus started playing, writing songs and do the vocal. Playing with Pro Tools, to get his rock’n roll addiction pleased, he re-discovered the electronic music. Been addicted to the likes of Underworld and Kraftwerk, Rasmus now turned his addiction into the more dubby trip-hop ambient world, where he still feels he got much more too discover. Fascinated by the atmospheric, melancholy and organic universe the dub, trip-hop and ambient music delivers, Rasmus have been producing such since the start of 2008. In collaboration with his friend and jazz singer Signe Amtoft, Rasmus have created some original tracks, which convey mood and emotion really well. I specially love the work on the vocals. Applause to Signe Amtoft for that. Nowadays Rasmus mainly creates his music in Ableton live, using a midi controller/keyboard and his guitar, and of course he have Signe by his side. Lovely couple. Enjoy the tracks, which Rasmus have commented.

Rasmus Liebst – Virus I Hjertet (Electrochok edit)
- Dark ambient soundscape created during the winter. Sound of girlfriend sorrows.

Rasmus Liebst ft. Signe Amtoft – Lovesick
- The track has a more housy sound, than I normally work with. As notable it is a little musical intertextual with its reference to TRENTE's rykketid.

Rasmus Liebst ft. Signe Amtoft – Pride
- It began as pure ambient with plate reverb of guitar and organ, but evolved with Signes input to an R'n'B, trip hop style song.
